Boucher Lovebirds Vintage Costume Figural Pin Brooch READ DESCRIPTION

Boucher Lovebirds Nest Vintage Costume Figural Pin Brooch.  Pin is a restrike from the 1970s. The metallic ruby red cold enamel is clean and sparkling, the stones are all present and bright with a few starting to darken, the pearls in the nest are original and clean.  The piece is in excellent vintage condition for it's age. The piece measures just over 4 inches x 3 1/4 inches wide and tall, manufactured from Boucher molds and is true to size and signed though the wings do not appear to be as sharply defined on the ends.

This piece is not the $2,000+ original Boucher Lovebird from the 1940s being sold for $375.00, rather this substantial brooch is a heavy well-made rhodium and enamel piece of unauthorized 1970s vintage jewelry with the correct coloring and stones and fairly difficult to find.  The pin back is straight and strong, the clasp locks securely.  The 1940s Boucher original is pictured on page 50, Volume 1 American Costume Jewelry Art & Industry by Carla and Roberto Brunialti - see last picture below.
