Art Deco Peacock Emerald Sapphire Prong-Set Tail Figural Pin Brooch

Art Deco Peacock Multi-Color Prong-Set Rhinestone Tail Feathers Vintage Figural Pin Brooch. This book piece brooch is made in many variations - the body is always the same with different colors of enamel, the rhinestone tail feathers come in many configurations. These brooches are becoming hard to find.  Measuring 2 1/4 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches tall and manufactured in the early 40's, the pin is in very good vintage condition with some light body wear - pot metal plated rhodium is bright on the front and back. The transparent rhinestones are original and in good condition. Gorgeous unsigned peacock brooch. The pin back is straight and strong, the mechanism closes securely. These peacock brooches have recently been attributed to Reinad/Chanel Novelty Brooches.
