Longcraft Pioneer Wagon Cowboy Round Frame Vintage Pictorial Figural Brooch.  In excellent vintage condition, this wagon and cowboy dimensional Longcraft is rare and a highly desirable Longcraft collectible. The dimensional frame brooch measures just over 2  1/2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches tall. The gold plate and enamel are in perfect condition.  This WW2 1940s jewelry creation was a popular use of tiny bits of scrap copper or other blended metals, a manufacturing "use it all" patterned method created by Longcraft during wartime when metals were scarce. These pieces were considered a reasonable and cost-effective "vermeil" look and to date have lasted as bright and shining examples of manufacturing ingenuity. There are a series of these well-made brooches that are desirable collectibles - some are round, some are rectangular pictorial frames. The pin back on this piece is an unusual kilt type pin and is straight and strong and locks securely.  The piece has not been cleaned and part of a very large Longcraft collection owned by family for over 60 years.  I struggle to sell these but have two of this brooch.
