Art Deco Mechanical Pelican Enamel Vintage Figural Pin Brooch 1939. In excellent vintage condition, the stones and enamel are bright and original. The beak opens smoothly exposing a "surprise fish" and when closed, holds well. The pelican pin measures 2 1/4 inches tall and 2 1/4 inches wide. The pin back has slight bend, still strong, the clasp locks securely. This piece is hard to find, desirable book reference.
