Bauman Massa Jomaz Swiss Gentleman Fur Clip Vintage Figural Brooch.  In excellent vintage original condition, this is a signed highly detailed 1930s BM Swiss Gentleman brooch measuring 2 1/2 inches tall by 1 1/4 inches wide.  The rhinestones, enamel and gold tone plate are very good - original, bright and shining, some age wear.  The fur clip closure pins are straight and strong, opens and closes smoothly and holds securely. Nice brooch and rarely seen. This brooch was manufactured by Bauman Massa from a consigned Jomaz design.

Bauman Massa served as a manufacturer for many of the better high-end designers - DuJay, Jomaz/Mazer, Reja/Deja, DeRosa and for several Hollywood Movie Directors in the 1930s and 1940s.  It is relatively rare to find pieces signed BM as most pieces were designed to be sold with either a paper tag or the designer's or consignee's signatory cartouche.
