Antique Faceted Glass Red Belly Insects Chatelaine Figural Pin Brooch Set.  In excellent condition, this 1920s Jazz Age and desirable prong-set insect chatelaine features hand-faceted glass stones accenting muted-gold plated bugs with carefully soldered smooth joints. Considered exotic and daring to wear bugs and insects as adornment - these pieces were very popular with the night club ladies.  Red-enameled eyes are intact and bright.  The largest insect measures 1 3/4 inches wide by 1 3/4 inches wide. The smaller insect measures just under 1 1/2 inches tall by 1 1/2 inches wide.  The attachment chain measures 2 1/2 inches.  Both pin backs are straight and strong and the old "C" clasps hold securely when worn.
