Vintage
brooches and pins aren’t just for Grannie Ellen or Auntie Mary anymore – though
they'll want them too! Vintage pins make wonderful sparking accents at the
waist, hair, neckline, on shoes, wrists – and yes, on the shoulder, or as that
great eye-catcher of all times – dead-center, low cut blouse.
Brooches and pins can be worn to the office, on a date, grocery shopping (and you always get compliments – ALWAYS, at the grocery store). I think just about anywhere a piece of jewelry would make sense would be a good place to make a fashion statement.
The vintage pieces are heavier and made of quality materials and generally better designed than contemporary pieces. They also frequently hold their value because of scarcity and nostalgia. There's just something about putting on something that is 50 or 60 years old and have it look as good today as it did last Century.
