Bauman Massa Snake Eagle Fish Fetish Figural Brooch 1940s - Rare

Bauman Massa Fetish Snake Eagle Vintage Figural Costume Brooch.  Unique brooch designed and manufactured, with very vibrant metallic paint by Bauman Massa  - this Fanged Snake, Eagle, Fish fetish brooch was created in the 1940s as part of a department store travel set of costume jewelry. The use of unusually vibrant metallic hues caused some of the set pieces to be wrongly attributed to Boucher. This early 40's pot metal Fanged Snake, Eagle and Fish figural is part of the South of the Border Pot Metal set and manufactured during the 2nd World War when travel was difficult due to gasoline rationing and sight-seeing was not permitted. The brooch is in excellent bright condition and measures 2 3/4s x 2 1/4.  Pin back is straight, clasp locks securely.
